It is an essay about a love conflict. This is the class notes about the film, collective and individualistic cultures.

In ?Leila? we observe Love in many selfless representations
What can we learn from Hofstede about the collective culture?
How can we apply what we learn about collective culture to the love we are observing in the film?

We already thought about some definitions of Love from biblical sources and from Social Psychology
What kind of Love do we see in this film?
Is there a more collective approach to Love?
Is the individual version of love also expressed in this film?

Cultures around the world seem of differ in the degree to which they socialize people to be more collective or more individualistic.
Collective cultures value obedience to the elders of a culture, but they also value harmonious relationships among the members of a culture. In some collective cultures we see men showing some behaviors such as compassion and submission, which we tend to stereotype as more feminine reactions, yet many such cultures relegate females to a less than dominant position in society.
More individualistic cultures, such as the United States, value individual power and influence. They are generally thought of as ?less traditional? and more modern, industrial and capitalistic. Theoretically, any sub-group in such a society need not feel captive or his or her ?place in society?, as it is always possible to advance.

The cultural bind, Kibria writes in Family Tightrope Levies certain requirements against the collective culture family member. One has to pay a certain amount of homage to the family and the collective to remain a part of the collective
For some of us that means women might face more of this collective bind, although Kibria does tell a number of stories about both men and women
How are women bound by the Iranian culture?
Also how is Reza bound?what must he pay for his place in the collective?

This is for the notes.

But about my ideas, that I hope you can include in the paper, are three ideas.

1-that Leila needs and wants the baby more than she wants her husband “Reza”.

2-And also I want term of “Culture bind” include as well please.

3- I want to to include a lot of collective culture information. Because that is my culture. So I want the Professor be sure that this paper is from me.

Thanks I hope it is not a difficult description and I hope you can help me in order to be a client in this website.
