For this assignment, you are required to write about the article that you selected for Assignment 1 (or the article you were supplied). You are required to write about certain components of the article and to reflect on the article. In general the essay should have 3 major parts (1) a cover page, (2) a body which is 3-5 pages in length, and (3) a reference page to cite your sources. Aside from having these major components, the text of your essay should also meet more detailed criteria as listed below.
Introduction
The introduction should introduce the general topic that you are writing about, and the authors of your essay. You do not need to state the title of the scholarly journal in the essay. You should refer the authors by using their last names (e.g., Weeks & Hughes). Begin this section by broadly introducing the topic in a few sentences. Then, write a paragraph (or two) explaining why this topic area is important and worth studying. Next, provide background information about what is already known in this area. Finish this section by explicitly stating the hypotheses that the researchers had.
Be careful not to plagiarize. Do not repeat exactly what was stated in the article. Add your own insights and opinions. Feel free to cite other sources. If you cite sources (including the article you selected for Assignment 1) give credit to that source by referencing it using APA style.
This section should be 1 to 1.5 pages double spaced.
