The type and severity of the disorder influences the interview strategy that you use and the amount andquality of information you are able to obtain. For example, interviewees with paranoid personality disorder may besuspicious and distrustful. Interviewees with borderline personality disorder may see you as a friend one moment andrefuse to answer your questions the next. A familiarity with the symptoms of various disorders enhances your ability toobtain valuable information from the forensic interview.For this Discussion, you are assigned to one of four groups.
