What the play is about: Mother Courage opens in Dalarna, spring 1624, in the midst of the Thirty Years War. She lives out of the war by selling food and war supplies out of her wagon.
She has 3 children, Recruiting Officer attempts to seduce one of her children Eilif into the army, she does not let him, Swiss Cheese who is very honest, Kattrin that cannot talk .
