1- In the context of a unitarist approach to organisations �resistance is futile�. On the contrary in the context of a pluralist approach to organisations the exercise of power, attempts at control and the inevitable resistance are �normal� features of organisational life. Critically evaluate the use of co-optive, coercive and concertive methods of overcoming worker resistance to organisational control.
2- It can be argued that the state of the relationships between the actors within an organisation influences its ability to achieve its goals. The employment relationship is arguably one of the more significant relationships that occur in organisations particularly the psycho-social component. Critically evaluate the so called theory of the �psychological contract�, does it provide a valid, reliable and predictable explanation that may contribute to an understanding of organisational success or failure?
