In the paper, you will explain the following: At each point where the CEO must make a decision, you must explain what is the ethical action to take, and why each is ethical. Place yourself in the role of CEO: What would you do?
Since this is a course on business ethics, your explanation should tell the reader why you believe these are the best ethical actions to take, and provide reasons to back up your claims. Your reasons should include the use of any of the various ethical systems we covered this quarter, such as Utilitarianism, Social Contract Theory, Corporate Social Responsibility or others found from your own research.
The conclusion of the paper should explain what results you would expect to come from those actions.
Required Sources: you must site your paper with a minimum of three (3) outside sources to back up your claims. Sources may include, Academic (peer reviewed articles), journalistic sources, case studies in ethics. The text, the lectures and our class discussions may be used as back up sources, but do not count toward the three required here. Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for this project, but may help point you to sources that are.
Other technical specifications: the paper will be typed, double spaced using 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font and citations must conform to APA format.
Submission of the paper: the paper must be uploaded through the Turnitin link provided within our Blackboard course shell prior to 11:59pm eastern time Saturday, December 2nd. The submission link and tutorial media will be made available 2 weeks prior to the due date.
Late papers: will not be accepted. You are advised to submit the paper earlier rather than later. Waiting until the last few days to complete (or start) your paper may lead to disastrous results! Prudence would suggest that you try to submit the completed a few days prior to the due date, if you can.
