Make sure you pick a case for your project that is focused primarily on ethics. If there are legal elements to your case you can address them, but consider them as part of the arguments you are building for and against whatever the action/decision is. eg. (deontological) duty to uphold the laws, codes, regulations, etc; (consequentialism) the consequences of breaking the law are not good! Don’t waste too much of your ‘word count’ applying the specific legal principles – unless it’s helpful for exploring the ethical issues in some way. (perhaps a footnote! 🙂
