You will give training on ethics to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.
Directions: Develop brief ethics training for individuals in your organization.
The purpose of this training is to demonstrate that you understand ethics in public management. Additionally, you must not only demonstrate that you understand ethics but that you can apply our course material to your work setting (for those that aren?t work you may choose a work environment)
You must provide a script of what you would say in each section. Please use sub-heading for each section.

Section 1:
90 min Training Agenda:
1. Warm up Question (5 ? 10 mins)
You can use one of the discussion board questions or develop your own question. The purpose of the question is to get everyone focused and engaged on the theme.
Use this question: Please define ethics in your own terms.
2. Presentation of Content (30 – 45 mins)
Give your staff a foundation for ethics in public management. Use course concepts and material to create 30-45min training. You can use any delivery method (PowerPoint, Video, Webinar, Handout, etc) Please provide a presentation time, outline, provide script indicating the time spent on each section.
Please include the following 4 sections.
A. Introduction & Learning Objectives
Learning Objectives (What will you accomplish with this training)
b. Ethics in Public Management
Summary of Major Course Material (Use Readings, Lectures, Discussion
Board etc)
c. Implementing Ethics in Public Management Use any of your discussions or assignments to present the implementation of ethics. The Code of Ethics Inventory and your Ethics Paper may be useful in this section.
d. Problem Solving in Public Management Develop a process for solving ethical issues in your organization. It may be helpful to use your problem solving model in this section. Additionally, develop a process for managing ethical issues. Include strategies for reporting unethical behavior and enhancing ethical behavior.

3. Learning Activity/Application Activity (30 ? 45 mins)
Develop a learning/application activity that will allow participants to practice
Applying the ethics lesson. Anticipate how long this exercise will take and include a brief timeline. (For example you may have small group discussions/questions of a case. Give them 15 mins to read the case and 15 mins to answer the questions.)

Include a brief evaluation of your training. This can be a standard seminar evaluation form or you can adapt one to meet the needs of your presentation. Please use your organization?s forms or use the internet to find a form that meets your needs.

Revamp and package your course assignments in a manner that can be used by someone in your organization. This section should flow as if it were one document. Consider this section to serve as a supplement to your 90min training. This can serve as pre or post-training work.
