My research questions are the following: what are teachers criteria for characterising children’s achievements in their drawings? how do teachers asses childrens drawings? is there any consistency on teacher;s responses at children ‘s paintings? what do teacher’s think that the goal of art lessons is/should be? Does the school environment offer what it takes to lead children to a successful painting/result? ALL THIS REFFER TO PRIME SCHOOL LEVEL (CHILDREN 6-12 YEARS OLD)I had in mind to contact interviews with 6 teachers .one to one interviews. I would show them 4 different paintings of the same topic made by children of the same age for example portraits and to ask them to talk about the grade they would give to each of these paintings and to identify the reasons and the way they assessed these paintings. So my tools would be interviews with primary school teachers , using childrens drawings and other questions about how they see art in school, how they think they assess and how they actually assess. I am really interested in the consistecy of their response. moreover i would like to examine the role of the teacher in the production of a successful work .How do teachers believe they help children produce an excellent painting?. I do have 4 portraits so if it is ok we can work with those.
