Using the source material listed below, your objective is to show how this ideology is spread in today’s society and to give your opinion on this particular tenet of the ideology.

Today’s modern music recordings, novels, and art function as powerful propaganda tools that support the capitalistic importance of self-interest. Method
By focusing closely on the language and construction of your chosen works and utilizing all four levels of analysis and a clearly defined critical literary strategy, you should persuade your reader to accept any and all claims stated in your thesis.
You should quote often from your primary texts to “show,” rather than “tell,” your reader how the evidence you see in the text supports your claims. A minimum of 25 parenthetical references must be used. All quoted material should be fully integrated into your own prose, and it should, as always, be properly documented in the MLA format.
Formatting and Length
As with the citations, all formatting in this paper should comply with MLA standards. Refer to either your Writer’s Reference book, the Purdue O.W.L. website, or the “This is MLA Format” sample essay for more information.
In order to complete the above requirements, your essay should meet a 3000-word minimum, about 10 pages.
