A speaking outline is a VERY short version of your preparation outline that you create AFTER you complete your preparation outline.
This is used as you deliver your speech.
Keep the speaking outline to ONE PAGE by using short phrases or key words.
Do not include topic, specific purpose, central idea, transitions or bibliography.
Cut out all sub-sub points (smaller than A., B., for example).
Use at least 4 delivery non-verbal “action” cues such as “pause”, “be dramatic”, “repeat for emphasis.”
Use size 12 font, single space line-spacing with double-space between sections.
You will be evaluated on content, format, and structure.
