OVERVIEW: Your assignment will be a report comparing two critical sources about ONE of the topics below. You will read the play for class and then find and compare TWO critical viewpoints on one of the aspects of the play listed below.
This assignment require that at least ONE of your critical viewpoints comes from a JOURNAL OR PERIODICAL ARTICLE. The other source may be from a BOOK or another article. Students who ignore the journal or periodical article requirement will have their papers returned ungraded for revision and will lose ONE FULL LETTER GRADE and will have only one week to revise their report.
You will need to find two ARTICLES, or one article and one section of a book-length study. Your articles should be at least three pages long, and your book passages should also amount to at least three pages. SHORTER sources may not provide enough information to do this assignment!

To find a book, use the computerized CARD CATALOG in the lobby by the Circulation Desk when you first enter the Library. Type in “Shakespeare” or “Twelfth Night” as a SUBJECT SEARCH. You are looking for works ABOUT Shakespeare, not BY Shakespeare.
TO find an article, you should use the MLA BIBLIOGRAPHY, a Web-based tool located on the Dupre Library Web site in the REFERENCE DEPARTMENT section:
