Section 1: Do Now/Anticipatory Set
Your first grade class is beginning a unit on geographical landmarks, and you decide that Grande Prairie is the best place to start. Section 4: Independent Practice
You are teaching a lesson to your Kindergarteners about groups and communities. Your aim for the day is ?Can we belong to several groups at once?? Create an age appropriate activity (independent practice section of the lesson plan) that will help students understand the aim.

You are just finishing a unit with your fourth graders about how Alberta?s demographics have changed since the early 1900?s (think population distribution, ethnic groups and languages spoken). In this particular lesson, you discussed how people have settled in both rural and urban areas. What do you do to provide closure to this lesson?
