Two part question. Answer question 1 and 2 separate DO NOT bunch together.

1.
The purpose of this assignment is to learn more about how database management systems (DBMS) use SQL as the engine doing the work within the database. The focus of this assignment is communicating your increased understanding of how SQL is at the core of DBMS.

Virtually all modern relational databases are built on some version of SQL. By doing some tasks using SQL code, you can begin to see the multiple steps that are executed in SQL to complete one task when you use a DBMS, such as Access.

Use the SQL Tutorial Instructions document to review the requirements of this assignment. You will find a link to this document in the Resources.
Access the SQL Tutorial Web site to complete lessons 1–8. The lesson pages can be found under the SQL Course Curriculum heading at the bottom of the Web page. In each tutorial, there is a link to the answers. You are welcome to use these, simply adapt your answer as needed. NOTE: Some SQL commands do not display the table when they are completed. This is not an error. To display the updated table contents, use a command learned in a previous tutorial. You may choose to display the table contents at the end of each tutorial rather than after each command.
Use the SQL Tutorial Assignment Template to complete your assignment.

The following is a list of exercises for this assignment. Carefully read each lesson within the tutorial prior to completing the exercises. See instructions in the following section for specific directions.

Lesson 3, Selecting Data—Complete exercises 1, 3, and 5.
Lesson 4, Creating Tables—Complete the Create Table Exercise.
Lesson 5, Inserting into a Table—Complete exercises 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Lesson 6, Updating Records—Complete exercises 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Lesson 7, Deleting Records—Complete exercises 1 and 2.
Lesson 8, Drop a Table—Complete exercise 1.

Instructions

Using the SQL Tutorial template and the SQL Interpreter on the SQL Tutorial Web site, complete the exercises in each lesson as assigned:

Type the requested information from the exercise into the SQL Interpreter box located at the bottom of the lesson.
Once the information is typed into the box, click on Submit Inquiry.
The query you requested will then appear under the header SQL Command Executed. Make a screen print of that query and apply it to a Word document.
You will need to make a screen print for each exercise listed above.
Add the screen prints to the template as directed. If you are unfamiliar with how to create a screen print, refer to the Capture Screen Prints section below.

Note: Once you have created and taken a screen print of your query, use theBack button on the Internet Explorer tool to get back to the lesson.

Following the SQL Tutorial template, for each lesson, summarize in one or two paragraphs:
What you learned.
What your challenges were during the exercises.

Capture Screen Prints

You will find that capturing a screen print is a simple procedure. Follow the steps below to add a screen print to the SQL Tutorial template as requested:

Have the screen you need to capture in maximum mode on your screen.
Complete the exercise as instructed within the lesson.
Once the SQL Interpreter gives you the answer you are seeking, Hold down the Ctrl key and tap the Print Screen key.
Pull up the SQL Tutorial template and put your cursor in the spot where you want to paste the screen print.
Right-click the mouse and select Paste.
You should see your screen appear in the template. Save your document after each screen print.
Once the screen capture is on your document, you re-size the print by using the resize handles on the screen capture. You can also add more screen captures to a document as well.
2. Relational Database System SQL Analysis Paper

The purpose of this assignment is to analyze what you have learned about relational database management systems and SQL commands. Write a 1–2 page paper in which you analyze your learning experience in the Relational Database System – SQL Tutorial assignment. Your paper and references should be in APA format.

Include the following in your analysis:

Share what you learned and what challenges you faced in completing that tutorial. What you learned could be about the correlation between SQL and Access, about specifics of SQL you learned, how this might prove useful in real-world application, et cetera.
Describe at the end of your paper what you learned by completing the SQL tutorials. Your discussion may be about SQL only or about how Access and SQL interrelate. You may include other comments and discoveries as well.
Explain how the skills you have learned in this exercise might be applied in real-world practice.
