In addition to synthesizing the literature, each Group Leader should evaluate the literature for gaps and propose a research topic with an annotated bibliography in a PowerPoint presentation. You are encouraged to include audio clips in your PowerPoint in order to practice your presentation skills and enhance the effectiveness of your message. Please review Web sites that offer tips on creating an effective PowerPoint presentation such as the one found in the Supplemental Resources for Week 1.
You must use the notes section in your PowerPoint presentation because a good PowerPoint uses bullets (phrases) and not sentences or paragraphs). In preparation for future professional practice and/or conferences, you must be able to orally present your findings and conclusions to others. To that end, when you serve as the Group Leader for one of the seminar Discussions, you will create and post a PowerPoint presentation that includes NOTES SECTION.
PowerPoint presentation that contains:
� A synthesis of the ideas from the week’s assigned literature
� An identification of apparent gaps in the week’s literature
� An original research topic related to the week’s literature (the proposed research topic can be related to the general topic for the week or to gaps in the literature for the week, or it can be fueled by a specific reading for the week)
� Background information on the research topic
� An annotated bibliography of at least 10 additional resources related to the proposed research topic
Refer to the Group Leader Presentation Format handout for more information about the expected contents of your Group Leader Presentation. If there is more than one Group Leader this week, the Group Leaders must jointly decide on a topic for their presentations by Day 3.
