subcom=detailed&id=238525381 1/3Subject Humanities Topic Virtual Museum ProjectIntroduction:One of your research projects will be the creation of a virtual museum. As implied by the title, this means it will becreated online. How Does It Work?Students will select a humanitiesrelatedtopic as the inspiration to a museum. You are the curator so what would youlike to include in your museum? Perhaps you have traveled the world and have great photos to share. Perhaps you liketo visit local museum or attend festivals. Perhaps you are a fan of comic books or dance genres. Perhaps you are aphotographer or artist and want to showcase your work. Whatever your interest, create a museum about it to sharewith the class! Each entry to the museum will be an artifact and with the artifact will be one factual piece of information which willserve as the research requirement for this project. All sources must be cited. What Will Be Submitted?1. 20 artifacts accompanied by a fact about the image (5 points for each image and 5 points for each fact).2. Students can use Prezi.com, TimeToast.com, YouTube.com, or3. All information collected for the project requires citation. This includes images that are not belonging to thestudent (5 points for each citation).4. A MLA formatted Work(s) Cited page must be included! (5 points for each citation included in the Works Cited)*If students need help with MLA format, there are resources available online, the Success Center is available fortutor appointments, or students can submit a rough draft to the instructor no later than the Thursday before thesubmission is due. What Will It Look Like? (Below is an example of a TimeToast.com project image. Link available in BbL)Additional Information:1. This assignment need not cost you money. If you want to create your museum about a visit to a museum, it isyour choice (Groupon and free days are friends of this class).2. Each image should be individual, not a variation of the same item.3. These themes are meant to relate to this class. Going to see a monster truck show is not humanitiesrelated. However, attending a dance recital works quite well. No sports (unless you are going to the Olympics) or sportsrelatedvenues. No science or sciencerelatedvenues.4. If you are doing it for another class, can you use the same content twice? Or maybe you wrote a paperpreviously that would work for one of the selections, can you resubmit that work? Absolutely not. Allsubmissions must be unique to this class from the current semester. While the content sounds like it couldwork, it will not count twice and will incur penalties for plagiarism (even if it is your own work).5. Each image should have at least one fact posted in the dialogue box and that should also be cited both in thepresentation and the Works Cited (limited to 500 characters so keep the facts short).6. All presentations must be made public. If anyone has questions about what qualifies as a humanities related topic or theme, please contact me atAllison.Budaj@ChattahoocheeTech.eduPossible activities which could be a museum theme:?
