– state the theoretical foundation: When discussing cyber bullying one may utilize sociocultural theories. These theories suggest that bullying results from a power struggle in various social groups with different levels of power. Gender, race, ethnicity, and social class are typical examples of the differences between groups that are thought to affect ones likelihood of being bullied as well as ones likelihood to engage in bullying behaviors (Hinduja, 2009). This is the theoretical framework off which I would like to base my study.
– summarize key research question (1. RQ1- Quantitative: Are there gender differences between ones likelihood to engage in cyber bullying while in college?
2. RQ2- Quantitative: Does an individual?s likelihood to engage in cyber bullying change with age?)
– describe research design and data analysis procedures
– conclude with a statement on the implications for positive social change
please also include that a quantitative syrvey design will be utilized to test the hypothesis and to develop a statistical model. a MANOVA will be used to test the hypothesis and if results indicate significant differences, then an ANOVA will be utilized to determine the variables included in the model.
