In this research, the diverse ways through which technology can be applied towards the realization of better
services will be appraised. Technological impacts underscore the world challenges faced in the 21st century based
on two perspectives. The first perspective is that technology has enhanced the prospects of a better world since
it has helped in elimination of diseases, improved human interactions, and advanced standard of livings. The
second perspective revolves around the fact that technology has also led to generation of pollution, promotion of
depravity, destruction of environments, and interruption of creative thinking.
The reason for choosing the topic
While technological evolutions are taking place at astronomical rates, a connected paradox that cannot be assumed
is that a significant number of problems that can be solved by the use of efficient technologies still exist
(Volti, 25). This begs the question; to what extent can technology be used in improving human services? The
reason for selecting this topic thus stems from the desire to highlight how technology can be used towards the
promotion of better human lives.
The aim of this research
The aim of this research is to conceptualize a global world where technology is applied as an instrumental tool
in the delivery of better human services. Subsequently, this research considers technological advancement as a
promoter of good life and the ways in which the objective can be threatened or supported based on the fact that
it is human decisions that drive technological developments (Volti, 45).”
