2. Patho-physiology & contributing factors
Drawing on literature, identify and discuss the patho-physiology and contributing factors
for the development of the client?s wound(s) or pain.
3. Client care goals
Outline goals for the care of this client in order of priority.
It is expected that you will provide evidence from the literature to support your goals.
4. Nursing interventions
Drawing on evidence based wound or pain management practice, critically analyse
(develop a reasoned argument) the range of nursing interventions that could be
implemented to manage the client?s wound(s) or pain.
Provide clear rationale (reasons) for your chosen interventions.
It is expected that you will:
a) demonstrate critical analysis of nursing interventions and wound/pain management
practices outlined in the literature, and
b) clearly identify which specific nursing interventions you would use for this client.
5. Discharge planning
Formulate a comprehensive discharge plan to address your client?s holistic needs, over
the coming six months.
6. Reflection on Learning
Once you have prepared your essay complete the „Reflection on own learning? form
attached and submit this with your essay.
Reflecting on your own learning is an important factor of critical thinking.
Honest and thoughtful completion of this form will enable you to make sure that you
