Perhaps you could focus on the impact on tourism and gather information which identifies business owners perspectives? You also need to think how you would differentiate your research from your literature review. In your literature review you don’t particularly mention any theories – e.g. FDI would be good to define and outline. Are there other relevant economic theories that take into account politics? Is there any research based on these into other countries that might give some valuable insights and approaches?
We should meet again just to refine your approach when you have had some more time to think it through.
On the plus side you write very well and your methodology is very good though I am not sure I agree that its the right approach for a piece of research on the economy. If you were to rephrase your question to talk about individual perceptions on the impact of the the political situation on the economy then a purely qualitative approach would be fine.
