This is a case study about Mrs smith a Health Extension carer at my placement, she was approached by Mr Joe a long time service user at my placement and a son of a well know member of the community, Joe asks Mrs smith the Health extension carer to provide him with some Paracetamol tablet because of pain in his lower back. In fact Joe doesn�t have any pain, but he was trying to accumulate enough tablets to commit suicide. He has also bought additional tablet off the internet and ask another heath extension practitioner for even more tablets. Sometime during break Joe swallowed all the tablets and was found in the toilet Very ill, near death. Joe didn�t die and when he recovered he did not want other service users to know he has attempted suicide. He began to spread rumour that Mrs Smith the health Extension carer was incompetent and had prescribe medication that he does not know how to use and that she has harm him.
