The first row of Table 1 has been completed to illustrate what is expected. (The type of rate, used in the boxes in the first row, is the number of cases per 100,000 but rates may include percentages. Differences between males and females may also be expressed as ratios e.g. twice or 3 times more.)
The main objective of completing Table 1, is for students to gain an understanding of some of the most important and recently documented mortality statistics, morbidity statistics, positive health measures and areas of concern which relate to the good or poor health of young Australians aged 12 -24 years.

Use a variety of references to discuss and explain any differences in mortality rates between young people living in major cities and those living in rural and remote areas. Your discussion should include some reference to Indigenous issues.
