%20Chart.pdf ) National Center on Response to Intervention "Screening Tools Chart". This is a national
database created to compare the wide variety of universal screening tools used in math and reading.
Put together a short paper that answers the following based on your review of the screening tools:
1.) Identify two characteristics from the site for consideration (e.g., reliability) and compare five tools based
on these characteristics.
2.) Identify how you would use these findings as a teacher.
3.) If you were put on a committee to determine tools to adopt, identify how you would use these findings for
making tool choice determinations for a district or building.
4.) Finally, out of the five tools you chose, review your findings and determine what two tests are the most
effective based on the table’s scoring. Explain what you found, review what the measures do, and explain
relevance to the needs of the student for universal screening.
