Assignment 3 Exploring and critiquing the relevance and applicability of health promotion strategies to health issue
Length: 1,500-2,000 words
Choose one of the following health issues:
1. Alcohol related street violence
2. Elder abuse
3. Trauma and refugees
4. Social isolation in a particular population group (elderly, migrants, young mothers, etc)
5. Living in the community with a disability (physical, intellectual, mental illness)
6. Climate change and community vulnerability
7. Poverty, in general, or an aspect of poverty
8. Lack of community facilities in a new suburb
9. Tobacco related social and health issues
Take one of the actions or strategies which have been covered in this Block. Examine the ways in which this strategy may contribute to addressing the health issue you have chosen to discuss.
This final assignment for the Topic requires you to draw on your theoretical knowledge of health promotion gained from your reading (including literature since 1986 pertaining to that strategy) and to critically evaluate its relevance and applicability to the health issue.

3. Demonstrated detailed and in depth understanding, based on relevant literature, of the chosen action(s) or strategy(ies).
