Visit to Al Ain Power Station
Instruction for visit report:
Every student in S4 is required to present a report on the visit that has taken place on Tuesday 17th April to Al Ain Power Station
Report Format:
1- Title Page: To contain course name & number, student name, activity title
2- Introduction: To explain the relationship between the visit and the EELTN200 course outline. [10% of Marks]
3- Al Ain Power Station Data & History: To give a brief history of the power station and to give data for the generators that are presently active and available any time. [20% of Marks]
4- Gas Turbine Operation: To give a brief description of operation of gas turbine.
[30% of Marks]
5- Synchronous Generator: To give a brief description of operation of synchronous generators. [30% of Marks]
1- Conclusion: To say a few words about how beneficial the visit was.
[10% of Marks]
Visit Marks:
The overall mark for the visit will be divided into two parts:
Visit Mark: 30% to reflect student attendance and level of participation in the visit
Report mark: 70% based on the visit report to be submitted.
Visit Mark Weighting: 10% of Coursework Mark
