This is an ethnography paper based upon two other field notes that I have studied and written about. I studied my close group of girlfriends and what we were talking about during dinner time. My first was about how teenagers use texting to communicate and how each person has their own way of texting. My second was about how Facebook connects people, especially through the use of pictures. I need to include what what using Facebook does, why is it important, and how it changes face to face interactions. I also need to include social business and ideology in this paper. The paper has to have a clear thesis, three theorists in a way that demonstrates my understanding of their work, appropriate background, synthesis of both set of feild notes and theories, sufficient number of quotations from the transcripts that support each point in my argument, the quotations must provided the theoretical arguments being stated. The paper must also go beyond simple description to show how my study relates to greater social and cultural patterns. The paper must show strength or weakness based on reading throughout the semester, an understanding of social business, more than reinforce stereotypes or categories, either explaining them insightfully or challenging them.
