Examples might include (but are not limited to) learning a new skill, entering university,

first job, emigrating, having your first child, or losing a loved one. Analyse these normal
developmental events through the lenses of two developmental theories from this unit.
Your essay should include:

? a brief overview of the two developmental theories you chose, focusing on the
aspects of these theories which are directly relevant to your developmental event
? a detailed analysis of your developmental event as seen through the lens of the two
theories
? reference to relevant literature, with a minimum of eight references drawn
especially from your textbook and readings, as well as from other appropriate
academic sources
