Grew up in Chicago His love for music began from the moment he heard music as a child. Xavier Kutu has always had a proclivity to study Music and Theology, and a passion to perform as a vocalist.
“At the early age of 6, He performed, and was overwhelmed by the audience’s applause and admiration. Hence, He has become very committed to music and building a career in music. After graduating from Booker T. W High school, Kutu has participated in, produced and directed musical concerts that have featured him as well as other classical musical performers.
As a renowned opera singer, Mr Kutu has mesmerized audiences around the globe with his unique artistry and vocal beauty. Mr. Kutu as a singer extends beyond the realm of classical music. His work as a great interpreter of spirituals and hymns cuts through all cultural boundaries. Mr Kutu has made immeasurable contributions as an ambassador for classical music, and music education in public schools, performing dignitaries, here and abroad, offers recital for charities to raise awareness, appearances on radio and television.
As a teacher and curriculum specialist, Mr Kutu has developed a sound curriculum for incorporating music to teach academics. He has Created a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment for children . Created instructional materials and procedures consistent with individual learning, needs and behaviors. Counseled difficult children with patience and understanding.
As a theologian, Mr Kutu follows the wisdom teaching of Jesus Christ to encourage, educate and bring spiritual knowledge and awareness to the community, to brings freedom, liberty and warm welcome to marginal people.
Mr. Kutu is the founder and executive director for Save the Children a nonprofit organization.
Using his personal savings, Kutu has been a blessing to many youths who had lost hope here and abraod. kutu has assisted many youths whose hope seemed shattered.
In 1999 Kutu established Save the children, a global social justice organization whose primary objective is to combat the causes of poverty, which leads to the abuse and misuse of children, improving the lives of at-risk urban youth by exposure and instruction in the performing arts, Music, and raising academic achievement levels.
Since 1999 through now, Savethe Children has helped many youth spiritually, educationally and morally. Many of our youth who have benefit from this programs are right now in college, still in school, military and doing positive things with their lives. Some of the kids testify saying if it was not for this program they probably be on the street, in jail, or die.
