i need a portfolio of 5 things to do with my research project. they are
1) you need to generate five possible topics that you could do your dissertation. these topics have to be psychology topics. my dissertation is going going to be on expectency effect. you have to pick 4 more and include mine to make it 5 for the purpose of this portfolio
2) secondly you have do a literature search on the expectency effect. you then need to present 10 references that will for the introduction element of the disseration. under each refernce you need to write a sentence explining why this study was relevant to the dissertaion topic.(expectency effect).
3) thirdly you will have to generate a research question based on the reading around the topic of expectency effect and genarate some ideas for a study that could look at , and come up with a hypothesis that could tested by that study.
4) here you have to produce a gantt chart as if you were actualy going to do a study on expectency effect. the chart should start from september and end in april and should step by step what you are planning to do for each month to complete the dissertaion.
5) for this entry you need to come up with how you are going to study the expectency effect and generate the following for the study.
participant infrmation sheet, consent form, debriefing sheet, and gatekeeper letter where required.
the participant information sheet should include the following sub headings: study title, purpose of the study, why have i been chosen, do i have to take part, what will happen to me if i take part, what are the possible disatvantages of taking part, whar are the benfits of taking part, will my results be kept confidential, what will happen to the results of the study. after this you need to develope a consent form for the participant to sign.
6) finaly in 400 words you need to write what you have learnt by doing this portfolio. any difficulties that you came across and how you dealt with them. recomendation for anyone else doing final year dissertaion.
