Role and Audience:
Your role is a representative of a business who has the responsibility and authority to write letters and memos on various issues pertaining to the operation of the business. The audience for this assignment is your supervisor/manager who will approve the design of your letterhead/memo form/business card. You may use a real or fictitious business.
The Assignment:
For this assignment, you will design 1) letterhead, 2) memoranda and 3) business card forms. These may be business or personal. If you select a business (real or fictional), be sure you provide your name on the top of the letterhead and memorandum so I know who prepared it. It?s important to keep your stationery consistent in appearance to build employee, customer and brand loyalty. Keep the same type face, graphics, logo, etc. Your headings on your memoranda form and your letterhead must not exceed one-sixth (1/6) of the page length. You must submit this assignment as one document or a single or on multiple pages within that one document.
Format:
Since memoranda forms are mainly used for internal company correspondence, it is inappropriate to put address, telephone number, fax number, etc., information on these forms. Business cards should advertise your business at least insofar as making it easy for a recipient of your card to contact you; provide your job title, physical address (if appropriate), phone numbers, email, website url, etc.
