Personal (worldview, beliefs, values), Different theories in counseling (psychodynamic, gestalt, ect), which theory is best suited for me based on me beliefs Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

Personal Style Counseling Paper

This paper is an articulation of who you are, what various theories say, and your attempt to

reconcile the two and choose a theory. I want you to spend an equal amount of focus

(practically speaking, focus in this context = page length) on (1) yourself, and (2) various

theoretical approaches. As you explore these two domains, I want you to compare and contrast

various theories to your worldview (the personal). As we have discussed in class, the grand

theories of psychology were informed by the personality/worldview of the theorists who

developed them. As you progress through this program, your eventual theoretical choices will be

greatly influenced by the degree to which the theory resonates with your worldview. This paper

is a formal expression of that.

HOW YOU WILL BE GRADED:

1. Content (40 points). Include the following:

a. Thorough exploration of the personal (worldview, values/beliefs, view of human nature,

conceptualization of pathology and wellness…).
b. Thorough exploration of the theoretical (various theories values/beliefs, view of human

nature, conceptualization of pathology and wellness, techniques of the approach)
c. Evidence that you have considered the similarities/dissimilarities of various theories with

your worldview
d. An articulation of your theory of choice, and why. Eclectic/integrative is not a choice.

2. Composition (10 points). The page requirement is 10 pages, but that is a minimum. Write (at

least) 10 pages (double spaced, 12 pt. font, Times New Roman, 1? margins all around), not

including title page and references (you do not need an abstract).

Write in APA (6th edition) style (title page, headings, references, in-text citations, etc.).

There are plenty of resources available to assist with APA style, including the APA manual and

the APA information session, sample paper, and PowerPoint available on our department website.

Be aware of different ways to cite (based on length of quote), but do not rely on quotations to

convey ideas. Use of APA headings is particularly helpful in defining the structure of your

paper. Your paper should reflect graduate level writing skills ? complete sentences, well

developed paragraphs that connect to each other, correct spelling, grammar, and syntax, etc.

For general writing assistance, the writing center is a free resource available to all Monmouth

University students.

5. As with the presentation, I want you to go beyond the Corey book. When discussing various

theories, use journal articles from peer-reviewed sources.

The goal of this research paper is to identify a problem that Harley-Davidson, Inc Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

The goal of this research paper is to identify a problem that Harley-Davidson, Inc. is facing within the company and then solve that problem by recommending solutions. The problem I have found that could potentially hurt Harley-Davidson is their aging demographics of the riders.

The average age continually increases and they need to target the younger demographics if they want to continue to thrive as a company. This was just something I came up with but feel free to find another problem and write about it instead.

The format will be 12 point times new roman, double spaced, and will follow a strict format.

You must follow the PSUSBA (Position, Sense, Uncover, Solve, Build, Achieve) problem solving method. I will attach a template for the paper as well as further instructions for each section of the PSUSBA formatting. Please follow the instructions carefully and stick to the formatting and layout of the template I provide.
Also, please use at least 2 peer reviewed articles as references.

Social opression of “otherness” in the film “Far From heaven”: Strictly follow the instructions and be so kind to attach all the literature that you will be using Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

This essay is for the subject Culture, identity and film. I will attach the instruction for the essay. Please, strictly follow the instructions and be so kind to attach all the literature that you will be using. I will also attach the list of literature from which have to be used 3-4 books, 5 sources have to be academic in addition could be used critical reviews, online commentaries etc. The intext references are not counted as a words!!!!
Film: Far from Heaven
. The film illustrates the norms and values of the 1950s. It was time of racial inequality, when Black people in America were discriminated and prosecuted, and when whites were full of prejudice and negative towards them, and also when homosexuality was perceived as a mental illness and shame. So, in the film we meet racial and gay identities. But it is better to focus on one main aspect of identity though either race or gender. So lets focus on race. Generallythis film is about social oppression of ?Otherness?. Small town, American culture of the 50s and so on. So it shows 2 sors of ?Otherness?: sexuality and race. As we are focusing on Race, we should of course also mention the other, but see where they intersect.

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

The charts and the paper need to be completed. In the following exercise, you will
return to the file “Evergreen Data” available on eCommons, and explore the
distribution of specific gravestone attributes over time, drawing inferences about
the nature of culture change in 19th and 20th century Santa Cruz over time.

Grading

Your paper will be graded on the following basis. The assignment is worth a total
of 100 points and will count as 10% of your total grade. The data and images
generated by your analysis must be presented as part of the paper and is worth
30 points. The discussion of the methods used in your analysis study in the first
part of the paper is worth 20 points. The second part of the paper, where you use
your analysis to make interpretations 30 points. The final 20 points are for the
form of your paper, including spelling and grammar. Your paper should be a
minimum of 4 and no more than 5 pages. It must be typed, double spaced and
should include additional pages for charts and images. Your essay is due in
discussion section Week 11 (the last week of class).

Part One: Collecting and Organizing your Data

Return to the “EvergreenData.xls” spreadsheet you used for Assignment 2. For
this analysis you will ONLY use the sample of data derived by random 49
sampling. Note that a number of variables are listed (Gravestone Type, Material
Type, Motif). Please refer to the file “EvergreenGravestoneKey.pdf” for discussion
and example of each variable recorded. In this exercise you will examine
“Gravestone Type” and “Motif” alone.

Sort your data by date of death (we are assuming that this approximates the
date the gravestone was made). Group the individual gravestones into 20-year
time blocks using the date of death. For each variable, determine the relative
frequency of each value in every time block (make a table similar to the
example below). You need to compute the percentage of each value of Variable
1, and percentage of each value of Variable 2, respectively, for the first time
block, the second, and so forth.

Refresher on how to do this: Either use the “%” function key on a calculator or
in Excel OR Add up the total number of all values in Variable 1 in your first time
block [example: flowers=8 + religious symols=10 + doves=5 + urns=2 = 25
total], then divide each individual value’s number by the total you got, then
multiply your decimal result x 100 [example: doves=5/25 = .20 x 100 = 20%].

Use a sheet of graph paper to display percentages for the first variable and its
values. Use pencil at least for the first attempt. Refer to the example included in
the Workbook to guide your layout.
• The vertical axis should show the time blocks used, and the horizontal axis
of the graph should show the relative frequencies of the different values of
the variable.
• Choose an appropriate scale to display your data effectively (for example:
1 inch = 20%) and draw in the respective percentages as bars on your
paper.
• Remember to center each percentage bar in each time block over the
other (don’t left-justify the blocks), so that you can see whether the
changes in percent frequencies over time look lens-shaped. See Kelly and
Thomas, figures 5-3, 5-4, and 6-6 for some examples of frequency
seriations and lenticular “battleship curves.”

Do the same for the other variables/values and percentages

Part Two: Interpreting the Data

Now that you have identified general trends in the data over time. You are ready to make

interpretations about the nature of cultural change over time. In doing so, refer to the

following questions, buy you may add any additional insights you may have.

1) Which monument types and motifs where most common in the 19th Century? The 20th Century?

Describe the overall pattern of change over time.
2) Do the observed changed relate to cultural change? Class? Regional economy? Something else?
3) What interpretations can you make about the changing nature of cultural ideology at

Evergreen over the course of this period?
4) What CAN’T you say about culture and ideology from this data?

Food Preservation: Write a coursework Even preserved foods spoil and may give rise to food poisoning Custom Essay

[meteor_slideshow slideshow=”arp1″]

Write a coursework Even preserved foods spoil and may give rise to food poisoning. Why might

this be and what can be done to minimise hazards and losses (through spoilage)
1- Reasons that microbes survive / contaminate properly preserved foods (around 850 words): we

must start with the premise that the preservation techniques are being carried out correctly ,

e.g. if we were to consider canning we should assume that a temperature of 3 Fahrenheit is

being achieved . so where could problems arise? What types of organisms might cause such

problems? Are there non microbiological reasons as to why foods might spoil or cause poisoning?

2- Precautions to minimise the risks (around 650 words): In this section you should consider

any operation , procedure , use of additives or packaging which would reduce the risks of the

problems you identify above from manifesting.
